An agreement has been reached with Mr. Nielson to agan hit the local dirt trachs in the 28B Super Late Model in 2009. Dick will be running a limited schedule, local schedule which will be provided in the new year.

The Fastrak season ended in a flury with the team travelling south to race at Elkins, NC and Wytheville, VA for Nights 2 and 3 of the Nationals. Night 2 at Elkins saw Dick qualify 11th and finish 2nd in his heat. In the feature the 28B team improved from an 11th starting spot to a 4th place finish. That finish put Dick in position to challenge for the National title in Night 3. However it was not to be Dick was forced into the fence during his heat at Wytheville causing damage to the car. In the B-main Dick raced to a 5th place finish but was not enough to make the show, with no provisionals the team had to settle for a 9th place overall Fastrak Points finish.
